Veritas provide full third-party certified support under the BAFE SP205 certification scheme to ensure the very best advice and support is provided for all elements of the assessment and any subsequent works that may be required.

In the period since the publication of the Hackitt report post the Grenfell fire, the expectations of the assessment as the prima-face document on which a business makes its life safety planning have become more onerous, and as a result the need for both accountability and expert guidance more relevant than ever before.

The insurance market now expects disclosure of all uninstructed non-compliance works post assessment or following a BAFE take over test and expects policyholders to meet these expectations.

Likewise post assessment, the implementation of the action plan within the report now carries more responsibility for the Responsible Person and any such works must be documented as they are completed.

The need for competent and qualified people to undertake such works is now vital to ensure that your client’s site is correctly assessed and supported, and Veritas can provide this under the BAFE SP205 scheme.
